The head of Sheep Creek is near Boulder Ridge, close to the outlet of Wilson Ditch.

County Road 80C follows Sheep Creek for part of its length.

The outlet of Sheep Creek is at Cornelius Creek very close to the North Fork Cache la Poudre River. This is in the Cherokee State Wildlife Area - Upper Unit. There is a campsite, restroom, and picnic area here. Maps do not show a name for this site.
