Home Page  Crosses the upper end of Pumice Valley and passes through the Aeolian Buttes. May have some relationship to the "Old Mono Highway." The USFS Transportation data set refers to this road as "West Portal Road." See, for example Reveal Collection #340, collected "… on rocky outcrop south of the old Mono Highway, Forest Service No. 1S09, 2 miles east of Highway 395."
