A sometimes island on the southeast shore of the Salton Sea, composed of two rhyolitic domes dated at 16,000 BP. One of the Salton Buttes.

Geochemical data support the idea that the Salton Buttes are formed by MORB-type magma, thus suggesting that oceanic rifting has initiated in the Salton Trough.

Elevation: -174ft, -53m.
