Canyon that drains the Hunter Mountain area into Saline Valley. Lee Pump, which is the type locality for Salvia dorrii ssp. argentea, is located in Jackass Canyon.

There may be another Jackass Canyon, associated with Jackass Flats and Marble Canyon, farther north in the Waucoba Spring quadrangle.
