Liatris punctata Hook.  Dotted Blazing Star.

Colorado School of Mines Survey Field, Jefferson County, Colorado. Small divide between two unnamed streams, southeast quadrant of Survey Field, 2.23 km. (geodesic) south of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.73546°N, 105.2205°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1810 m. Highest Great Plains at Rocky Mountain Front Range scarp, more or less disturbed mixed grass, where some quarrying has occurred, also collected here: Cleomella serrulata, Salsola tragus and Eriocoma hymenoides.
