Eriocoma lettermanii (Vasey) Romansch.

Unnamed Gulch on Forest Road 189, Lake County, Colorado. About 50 m. southwest of Forest Road 189, about 1 km. west of County Road 18 “East Tennessee Road,” 7.37 km. north northwest of the GNIS location of Leadville. Openings in aspen forest, mixed with patches of big sagebrush and willows. 39.29858°N, 106.31736°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 3091 m. fine leaves, panicle infl. Collected with Artemisia tridentata, Taraxacum ceratophorum, and Festuca idahoensis.

No. 3343.1, 24 July 2024, characters observed: Perennial grass, 30 cm.; Leaves, sheath, open, ligule, membranous, blade, involute; Inflorescence, 1 per culm, <leaves, contracted panicle; Spikelets, many, 7 mm. × 1 mm. wide, similar, borne singly; Glumes, lower, 6 mm. veins, #3, upper, 5.5 mm. >lowest floret, veins, #3, awns, #1, 1 mm.; Florets, 1 per spikelet; Callus, straight white hairs; Lemma, 4.5 mm., <glumes, unevenly hairy, hairs, straight, apical hears ≤1.5 mm., awns, #1, 15 mm, twisted; Palea, 3.5 mm. = 77% of lemma, apical hairs > apex. Anthers, 1.8 mm., yellow + black.
