Collections of Chrysocoma graveolens Nuttall (Syn: Chrysocoma dracunculoides Pursh [illeg.]) = Ericameria nauseosa (Pallas ex Pursh) G. L. Nesom & G. I. Baird var. graveolens (Nutt.) Reveal & Schuyler, were made at Big Bend of the Missouri and the Cheyenne River.

We don't really know where the collection of Chrysocoma nauseosa Pursh = Ericameria nauseosa (Pallas ex Pursh) G. L. Nesom & G. I. Baird var. nauseosa, was made, but it was likely along this stretch of the Missouri River.
