Frasera albomarginata that failed in bud.
My examination of one Frasera albomarginata that budded but failed to flower showed that the caudex was still fleshy. This would imply that F. albomarginata might bud again, if it fails to flower the first time. However, later observation showed that once a a plant buds and then fails to flower, it will die without attempting to flower again.
