Stopped here to look for plants to collect. Found this fawn instead. It didn't move a muscle, except for breathing. Took its photo, and went somewhere else to collect. One of those magic moments that happen now and then.

Upper end of Grant Lake from the moraine.
There is a short stub that continues on the crest of the moraine about another 80 meters. However, the road turns southeast and make a steep descent. Be careful!

The photograph looks northwest, up Forest Road 1S104 toward the rim of the moraine. There is a nice view of Grant Lake from up there, but the road is very steep and sandy near the top.
