This is the correct name for the mountain range also known as the Charleston Mountains. Highest peak is called Mount Charleston, 45 km northwest of Las Vegas. Other names that have been applied to Spring Mountains are Buckskin Range, Charleston, Charleston Mountain, Silver Buttes, Spring Mountain Range, State Line Mountains, Timber Mountain, Washington Mountains, and Spring Mountain.
