Gilia ophthalmoides Brand.  Pinyon Gilia.

Tin Cup Ridge, Jefferson County, Colorado. Along the top of Tin Cup Ridge, the northward extension of Dinosaur Ridge into Golden, in more open areas adjacent to ponderosa pines, 4.95 km. south of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.7128°N, 105.20487°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1930 m. Annual, lower stem arachnose, cauline glands black dots, corolla throat yellow, petals abaxial purple, adaxial white. Edge of small grove of ponderosa pines, with Agoseris parviflora, Crepis occidentalis, Heterotheca villosa and Lappula texana (syn: L. occidentalis var. cupulata).
