Oenothera howardii (A. Nels.) W. L. Wagner.  Howard's Evening Primrose.

Parfet Open Space (City of Golden), Jefferson County, Colorado. West central part of the open space, above the Welch Ditch, above the social trail and getting close to the houses, 1.06 km. southwest of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.74894°N, 105.23011°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1789 m. Flowers bright yellow, fading bronze. Mixed-grass prairie, with Ericameria nauseosa var. nauseosa, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Kraschinnikovia lanata, Allium textile, Andropogon gerardii, and Bouteloua curtipendula. This parcel was designated a City of Golden Open Space in 2025.
