Rosa acicularis Lindl. ssp. sayi (Schwein.) W. H. Lewis.  Say's Acicular Rose.

North Table Mountain Park, Jefferson County, Colorado. In the bed of partially filled-in small reservoir, along the North Table Mountain Loop trail, about 140 m. east of its junction with the Golden Cliffs Trail, 815 m. south of Lichen Peak, and 1.78 km. north of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.77128°N, 105.21975°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1954 m. Many fine, long prickles on new growth, 7 leaflets per leaf. Wet soil, with Artemisia ludoviciana, Senecio integerrimus, Lupinus argenteus, and Poa compressa. Coordinates estimated with GoogleEarth.
