No. 701, 13 Nov 2011, characters observed while keying; Perennial subshrub (as opposed to matted, suggesting var. wrightii), to 2 dm; Stems white tomentose; Leaf blade 8-10 mm, petiole bases not forming a ring around stem; Infloresence raceme-like; Involucres 1 per node, 2.5 mm Bracts 3; Tepals uniform in width; Flower stipe 0.
