Chamerion angustifolium (L.) Holub.  Fireweed.

Morrison Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Buffalo Creek Recreation Area, along Morrison Creek and former National Forest Road 547, 2.69 km. south of National Forest Road 550, 63.3 km. south of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.3198°N, 105.2836°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2454 m. Open shade under Douglas fir. Forest is generally more open here, and there is a meadow nearby. Also collected here: Equisetum arvense and Aconitum columbianum
