Carex bebbii Olney.  Bebb's Sedge.

Heritage Dells & Tripp Ranch Meadow Open Spaces, Jefferson County, Colorado. Heritage Dells, south gulch, middle section between DeFrance Way and Crawford Street, 135 m. downstream of DeFrance Way, 4.2 km. south of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.71844°N, 105.21524°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1889 m. Wet bottom of gulch with Carex occidentalis, Juncus interior, and Salix irrorata. The three gulches of Heritage Dells were designated a City of Golden Open Space in July, 2025.

No. 3588, 1 June 2026, characters observed: Cespitose sedge, to 44 cm.; Leaves, 2.9 mm. wide, sheath, hyaline, not cross-rugulose; Inflorescence, 18 mm. × 12 mm. wide, spikes crowded, bract, 10-20 mm., usually < inflorescence; Spikes, 7 mm. × 4 mm. wide, gynecandrous; Pistillate scales, 3 mm. × 1.5 mm. wide, brown, margin white hyaline; Perigynum, 3.5 mm. × 2.9 mm. wide, ovate, plano-convex, beak, 1.9 mm., not serrulate; Anthers, bristles at tip; Stigmas, 2; Achene, 1.2 mm. × 1.0 mm. wide, bi-convex.
