Rhamnus cathartica L.  European Buckthorn.

Kinney Run Open Space, City of Golden, Jefferson County, Colorado. On the right bank of the creek, bank between creek and Kinney Run Trail, 185 m. upstream of Eagleridge Drive and about 530 m. downstream of Tripp Road, 2.88 km. south of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.72994°N, 105.2155°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1808 m. In fruit. One tree among many Crataegus sp. (formerly known as C. succulenta). Other occurrences of R. cathartica are both up- and down-stream on Kinney Run and upstream on a tributary in JCPOS Apex Park.
