Salvia dorrii at the 9,000 foot level in the Spring Mountains | I found this plant growing along the Lee Canyon trail on broken limestone. At high elevations, the species tends to be more compact in form. The highest elevation at which I have observed the species is at 10,000 feet in the Schullman Grove of the White Mountains, Inyo County, California.
